Title: Turf grass

How many times does your son or daughter come home covered in mud and limping because of twisted ankles and grazed knees! How often do they complain about our uneven, muddy sports field? Today I’m going to talk to you about how we can improve our sports field.

It is an easy fix, just by adding turf. You may not know what it means. Well, it's this artificial grass that can’t get muddy or doesn’t get any holes and it’s for playing sports on.

I’ve got 3 reasons why you should add turf to our school field. The first reason  is that there will be no uneven ground. Like when your running you might slip over the holes and then get a grazed ankle, you always have to look where you are going but turf you don’t have to be carefull.  You’ll also get less ligaments and injuries with kids playing on it.

My second reason is it never gets muddy. I’m sure you wouldn’t like it when your kids come home with mud on their shirts and on their pants just by playing on our field but if we had turf there will be no mudd only artificial grass that kids can enjoy playing on it.

My third and last reason is you don’t have to spend heaps of money on looking after our field if you put down turf. It costs money for cutting the grass every few weeks and filling in the holes that we make when we are running on it.

Now that you have heard my three reasons why we should have turf at Owairaka i’m sure that you’ll agree with me it’s a great idea.
